While we were sleeping it off, Cap’n Obv. reports that Lil’ Kim is in good spirits and keeping busy in the federal pen at 7th and Arch. She’s releasing a record! She’s sending out press releases! And for the love of Christ, she’s blogging! (Maybe.) In any case, if you were wondering, all past, present and future levels of realness are being kept:

I am in general population at FDC and I have adjusted to the facility and to my fellow inmates who are all cool people. Each day, I read, sharpen my focus and grow. Of course, I wish I could be out to celebrate the release of my new album this week, The Naked Truth but instead, I am looking to take advantage of this time to work on my personal development.

Why is it that when famous people go to prison, they always make it sound optional?
Oh, I guess because it is.
