For Your Consideration: Philadelphia Will Do
When we heard a month or two ago that Philadelphia Weekly was hiring its very own blogger, we were like, “Jump back, baby! Welcome to 2003!” It wasn’t necessarily a fear of competition that we felt, but more a sinking sense of, “Oh man, how are they gonna fuck this up?” Luckily for all of us, they actually made a good hire in Daniel McQuade, who cut his teeth editing the A&E section of The Evening Bulletin, which is a pretty good place to cut your teeth, since not a fucking soul reads the thing. Anyhoo, Daniel already had a blog up and running called Philadelphia Will Do when they hired him. And in a wildly lazy show of PW-related half-assedness, Philadelphia Will Do is now the official PW blog. You know, because setting up a blog is so difficult and pain-staking. Where does that leave us? Well, basically, PW bought a blog. Which is just funny, any way you slice it. Lucky for them, they actually bought a good one.
