Not sure if this is of any use as a story, but I was reading the NME in Borders the other day (it was the Live 8 special with a front cover featuring the one guy in U2 that doesn’t play an instrument, the ponce from the Killers and that guy who used to be in the Libertines but is now in some band called Razorlight Babyshambles) and anyways, inside, there’s a short interview with The Kaiser chiefs about their Live 8 experience here in Philly and they said, and I quote:
†“We met the mayor of Philadelphia who said: ‘You were fantastic, I hope in 20 years time you come back and headline,’ but I though the point is there should never have to be a Live Aid again.”
