Everyone and their mother reports this morning that ol’ swinger Rupert Murdoch has gotten his grubby lil’ hands on Myspace for a cool, cool $580 mil. This will no doubt lead to a barrage of annoying bulletin board posts in which all your friends announce to the world how they’ve been duped and that NPR is about to fold and that their bands are playing their last-ever shows in Philadelphia. But just one question: Did you really think you were fighting The Man when you were staying up all night stalking your ex? Yeah, we thought so.
