Now that summer is approaching, Mike Zebe offers some advice on how to party at the Jersey Shore with the kind of girls who sport toe rings and that shade of spray on tan somewhere inbetween “Oompa Loompa” and “baseball glove.”

Farther north, Long Beach Island’s Joe Pop’s Shore Bar (2002 Long Beach Blvd., Ship Bottom, 609-494-0558) has offered food and music for decades. Once the season kicks in, live music will be offered five nights a week - bands such as the Benjamins, the Nerds, Big Orange Cone, Dog Voices, Urban Trip, and Screamin’ Broccoli will play throughout the summer.
What? Screamin’ Broccoli is playing? Well, grab a case of beer and gas up the Chevy Blazer! We’re gonna have us an American Graffiti summer!
