This Weekend: As If!

cyjFriday:
>>> This weekend presents an interesting conundrum: We all know it’s going to snow, we all want the snow, we are all just going wild for the snow, and yet, here’s your old pal Philebrity, just standing around with its dick in its hand, still saddled with the charge of acting like you’re NOT looking forward to shuttering your windows and doors and gearing up for your Pimp My Ride/Solitary Drinking/Percocet-popping, the-world-is-as-soft-as-lace weekend. If this idea sounds new to you, perhaps you should get used to it. Basically, if you want to go out and get krunk this weekend, you’re gonna hafta do it tonight. To that end, we’re recommending Cream Yur Jeans upstairs at The Khyber. Those guys will give you all the glam/electro/dirty music you need to feel on Saturday morning, as the snow rolls in like so much sweet white death, the feeling that you did something before the whole town shut down.
Saturday:
>>> Here’s where the blowing-smoke-up-your-ass part begins. You’re not going anywhere. But, if you have it in you (amazing!), you really have a civic duty to show your face at DJ Jazzy Jeff’s 40th Birthday at Shampoo. Do not blame the sins of the rapper on the DJ. Jeff will be joined by his fuzzy friends Biz Markie, Kenny Dope, Maseo, Pete Rock, Terry Hunter, Gary O, Skratch Makaniks, Mike Nyce, Baby DST and more.
>>> Oh, you intrepid soul. You want the indie, don’t you? In this kind of weather. Then it’s back to The Khyber again for Relay/South Congress/Phil Moore Browne/Wrist And Pistols.
Sunday:
>>> Presuming you’ve shoveled your shit out, maybe by now you might be getting a little stir crazy. No, you won’t. And that’s a shame, because the hot-as-hell Japanese Blondie Mimirock are kicking it with FoxyContin at Silk City.
