Bob Dylan: Still Weird With The Pres

Little birdies tell us the following: Sometime in the last few weeks, Bob Dylan agreed to be interviewed on NPR, presumably to once and for all demonstrate the sound of one hand clapping. But his agreement came with a proviso: He wanted the interview to be conducted by Inky music scribe Tom Moon, who, sure enough, shows up on NPR often enough, but is not an installed personality over there. All Things Considered balked, then it almost went over to Fresh Air, but then they balked when Bob also insisted that the interview be done over the phone, because, really, can you imagine what Bob Dylan must sound like on the phone? In the end, the whole thing wound up happening on Morning Edition with Steve Inskeep. Sorry, Moonpie. But still, it must be pretty awesome to know Bob Dylan wants to talk to you. Even if you can’t understand a friggin’ word he says.
