Rebecca Westcott, 1976-2004
The story’s been circling around for days, so it’s good that there’s finally an obit out there. In case you hadn’t heard, artist Rebecca Westcott died in an accident last week near Hartford, CT. Along with her husband, the artist Jim Houser, Westcott was one of the more sublime and instantly recognizable Space 1026-ers. That she’s gone, while her career was in the midst of a graceful ascent, is horribly, awfully sad. Our condolences go out to family and friends.
